We are very proud to announce that Hasse Fröberg & Musical Companion will release their upcoming album simply titled ‘HFMC‘ on Glassville Records. The album is set for a release on Friday the 13th of February 2015. It is the band’s third album (FuturePast ‐ 2010, Powerplay –‐ 2012).

The new album is one hour long, eight songs, melodic, epic, energetic prog rock. This is what Hasse has to say about the album: “First of all I’m very glad and proud to be working with these musicians again as Musical Companion is still intact: Thomsson–‐bass, Kjell Haraldsson–‐keys, Ola Strandberg–‐drums, Anton Lindsjo–‐guitar.

The music and lyrics are more of a journey this time compared to our previous albums. The sound of the new record has become bigger. There are more advanced arrangements, more layers, more depths and a more detailed production. I have to say I’m extremely happy about this album. The lyrics are about looking back, an odyssey through life…mine?” In 2008 Hasse started to write music which led him to form Musical Companion. In 2010 they released the debut album ‘FuturePast’. It gained fantastic reviews and the band was voted second best newcomer in the annual DPRP awards. The album was followed by a 10–‐date European tour.

In April 2012 the second album ‘Powerplay’ saw the light of day and the new music once again received great press. The album was followed by gigs on both sides of the Atlantic, among them gigs on the prestigious festivals Night of the Prog in Loreley (Germany) and RoSfest (USA).

Hasse is most of all known for his singing and guitarplaying with Swedish prog giants The Flower Kings. But he also played in numerous bands before that, one of them being the Swedish hardrock act from the eighties Spellbound, where he also played together with Thomsson and Ola Strandberg of the Musical Companion. Kjell Haraldsson is a seasoned musician who toured with artists like Joe Lynn Turner, Michael Schenker and Glenn Hughes. Anton Lindsjö has played with just about every pop, schlager and jazz star there is in Sweden.
